A client of ours promotes new products through hostesses present in various general stores. Before offering the product, however, the hostess must verify certain characteristics of the potential customer: this is required by a specific sector regulation that prohibits promotion to minors, among others. We supplied mystery clients who, although of legal age, could plausibly appear younger. The shoppers sought interaction with the hostess to verify the correct application of the procedure and, once the visit was over, identified themselves to the hostess, discussed the details of the check with her, took a photo of the uniform, and completed the final report together.
This way, word of mouth among the operators brought great attention to the details of how the product was presented, and irregular situations were almost entirely eliminated within three cycles of checks.
